Adult Soccer Fest - Veterans Cup 2016

Vets cup pic Denver

Come join us in wonderful Denver, Colorado for next summer's Adult Soccer Fest

Adult Soccer Fest offers divisions tailored to all ages and levels:

Over 30 to Over 70 Battle it out with old rivals or make new ones. Each of our age divisions include group play and a chance at a championship game. All ages play 11v11 except Over 65 women and Over 70 men, which play 8v8.

Men's Open
For the young and/or the daring. The open division gives players of any age a chance to play together.

Women's Open
Highly competitive amateur women's division. Premier players from around the country test their skills against the nation's best women's teams.

Walking Football
The beautiful game, just slowed down. Walking football levels the playing field by eliminating running. The pace of the players may be slower but the competition is still fierce.

3v3
Did your team struggle during the week? Join our one-day, small-sided tournament on Saturday. Small fields, small goals but big stakes.

Paralympic
The game of soccer is meant to be enjoyed by all. The Adult Soccer Fest offers divisions for amputee, CP/stroke/TBI, as well as dwarf players.

**All divisions will be determined based on demand**

2016 Location Update

All,

As previously announced the upcoming USASA Veteran's Cup is scheduled for July 13 - 17, 2016. Based on team/player survey feedback we have moved the location from Lancaster (CA) to Denver (CO). In the coming weeks, we will make registration site active and all relevant content (fields, hotels, activities etc....) related to the tournament posted. Our expectation is that this new location will continue to raise the bar of this tournament.

Stay tuned for additional information.

Day #1 - Tournament Recap

Managers,
We had a great start to the tournament. Games are progressing as planned and the weather has been cooperating.
A few updates as we move onto day two of the tournament:
1) The tournament party:
The tickets are for sale at the HQ tent. Tickets are $10 per player and food will be included with the entry fee. Families are welcome. Deadline for purchasing tickets is the end of the day.
2) Field signage:
All fields will have a number on them. Please don’t use the Hampton Roads Complex map as we have our own numbering system for the fields. Look at the USASA banners that are next to field.
3) Trash bags:
A number of teams are taking trash bags for their personal use. Please refrain from doing as we need those for the trash!

4) Water cups:
As mentioned at the manager's meeting we will not provide water cups during the games. Please tell all your players to bring their own filled water bottles for the games.
5) Fans:
Just a friendly reminder that the benches are only to be used by the team and two managers. Any other guests or fans are required to sit on the opposite side of the fields. Please respect this and be proactive as a manager to enforce this.
I hope everyone is enjoying the tournament so far. If you have questions or feedback please reach out to me at the HQ tents. Our goal is to provide the best possible experience for you and your teams.

Veteran's Cup Daily Update - July 14

Managers,

I wanted to personally thank you all for attending this year’s tournament. I hope you all have arrived safe and ready for the tournament. Before the tournament I wanted to remind each of you a couple of things:

1) Tournament Schedule:

The schedule has been finalized. It is available on the mobile app or you can go here to find the latest information.

2) Alcohol:

Just a reminder that there is no drinking outside of the beer garden. There will be zero tolerance for any drinking beer outside of this area. In the past we have caught several teams drinking at the parking lot and at the fields. Please respect this as we are guest at this facility.

3) Parking & Driving:

Please park at the facility. There are over 700 parking spots. Don’t park at the schools that are in front or at the back of the facility. They will tow your car. Also, the Virginia Beach area has a lot traffic police so our advice is to keep to the speed limit unless you want a ticket.

4) Tournament Party:

The tournament party is Friday night at 7pm. It is at the Sportsplex Stadium. Tickets are $10 per player and they will be sold at the HQ tents. Food will be included with the entry fee. Families are welcome.

5) Water bottles:

This week will be very warm. No water cups will be provided. Please tell all your players to bring your own filled water bottles for the games. It will save us time as we can’t keep up with the demand of refilling the water.

6) Field Signage & Warm-up:

Fields are marked for designated areas for teams and coaches. Please respect this as we have had to remove spectators from sidelines on multiple occasions. Only players and coaches will be allowed on the team sidelines. Spectators will be on the opposite side of the field. This will be strictly enforced. Please respect this as this will save us time. Teams that warm-up prior to a game should not enter the field until the game has been completed.

All fields will have a number on them. Please don’t use the Hampton road complex map as we have our own numbering system of the fields. It will be very clear once you arrive at the facility.

7) Scores:

Please visit the mobile app for the most up to date scores

8) Instagram:

We have an Instagram account for vetscup. To follow updates the hashtag we are using us #usasaveteranscup and the user is veteranscup. You can also post picture on the mobile app.

9) Team and Player Registration:

Team Registration - 2:00pm - 7:30pm (Hampton Road Soccer Complex)

(2:00pm-3:00pm - O-65, 70 teams)

(3:00pm-3:30pm - O-60 teams)

(3:30pm-4:30pm - O-55 teams)

(4:30pm-5:30pm - O-50 teams)

(5:30pm-6:30pm - O-40 & O-30 teams)

(6:30pm-7:30pm - Late Registration)

Please make sure to bring the following information for the team registration check-in.

-Certified Team Roster

-Player Cards

If you don’t have all the player cards please make sure the players visit the HQ tent at the fields with the card. Please make sure they come to the field at least 90 minutes before the 1st game. If you play an 8 AM game on Wednesday, come at 7 AM.

For all Over-30 players we need to see each players driver’s licenses. This in addition of the player card.

10) Facilities:

All soccer fields will be set-up with tents for teams. For spectators we highly urge you bring your umbrella chair, blankets, and tents. You can also bring your own team tents if you want.

11) Beer garden:

The beer garden will be be hosted by at least one tournament member where you can share your game stories, suggestions or worst case scenario complaints. We will serve beer and wine in this area.

I hope we will meet your expectations of this tournament. Feel free to reach out to me at the HQ tents or when you see me to provide feedback – good or bad. Our goal is to provide the best possible experience for you and the entire team.
